Searching the Market to find the Best Deals on Insurance

It is recommended that we all have a pension to provide for our future. The Government provide us with a state pension, but also recommend that we have a private pension to back up this option. In recent years employers have had to provide a pension plan for all employee’s. The idea is that the employee pays in 2-3% of their gross wage and the employer matches this, therefore doubling their contribution. Before opting for a private pension, it is well worth doing your homework, and checking out all of the pension options which are out there and available for you. The pension which is currently provided by the state is known as the State Retirement Pension, they also provide what is known as a State Second Pension or an S2P. Although retirement may seem far away right now, it will come round faster than you think, by setting up your plan now, you will secure your future.

There are some things that you should take into consideration when opting out of paying a pension. Think about how you will afford to pay for the bills, or have holidays, or even go out for a tipple or two at the local pub. You may be ok whilst you are working now, but being reliant on a state pension could be a bad choice in the long run. With people living much longer now, retirement may last longer than you think. Imagine if you live way past 65 and on to 95, that would be 30 years with no money and scrimping and scraping about. Do your homework, there are lots of price comparison sites, which offer good pension plans. It is not worth relying on a state pension alone, as this will not give you a sufficient income, to carry on and live a good life in retirement.
